101 Milton Park is a commercial development at Milton Park in Abingdon, Oxfordshire — one of the UK’s established business and science park locations. Midwest was appointed by Barnwood Construction to deliver the reinforced concrete frame package for the building.
The Package
The scope covered the full structural frame: formwork erected to the engineer’s design, reinforcement fixed to specification, and concrete placed and cured across the building’s floor plates. Commercial frames of this kind are typically built around larger clear spans and heavier service loadings than residential schemes, with floor-to-floor sequencing set by the main contractor’s programme and coordinated closely with the follow-on trades taking over each level as it was struck.
101 Milton Park is one of two schemes Midwest has delivered for Barnwood Construction, alongside the Cabi facility in nearby Wallingford — a working relationship built across the Oxfordshire commercial market.
