Bendix Street is a residential development in Manchester, delivered for main contractor GMI Construction. Midwest’s scope was the reinforced concrete frame for the scheme.
The Package
Work covered formwork erection to the engineer’s design, reinforcement fixing, and concrete placement and curing across the building’s floors, sequenced to GMI Construction’s programme. Residential frames of this scale are built on repetition — the same structural grid and core arrangement repeated storey after storey — which puts the emphasis on a steady, predictable pour cycle rather than one-off complexity, so the follow-on trades can plan their own programme with confidence around the frame’s progress.
Bendix Street is one of two Manchester schemes Midwest has delivered for GMI Construction, alongside Oldham Road — a relationship built on repeat instructions from the same main contractor in the city.
