Cabi

Cabi is a commercial facility in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, delivered for main contractor Barnwood Construction. Midwest’s scope was the reinforced concrete structure — the frame package that forms the building’s primary support ahead of fit-out and services.

The Package

Work covered formwork erection, reinforcement fixing, and concrete placement across the structure, following the sequence and programme set by Barnwood Construction on site. As with any commercial frame, the priority was accuracy at each pour — getting levels, tolerances, and cast-in details right first time so the frame doesn’t become the constraint for the trades that follow, from cladding through to M&E fit-out.

Cabi is the second of two projects Midwest has completed for Barnwood Construction, following 101 Milton Park a short distance away — a repeat instruction within the same Oxfordshire market.
