The Crown Works is a commercial development in one of Birmingham’s established industrial quarters. Midwest delivered the reinforced concrete frame for the scheme on behalf of Graham Construction.
The Package
The scope covered the full structural package: formwork erected to the engineer’s drawings, reinforcement fixed to specification, and concrete placed and cured across the building’s floors. Buildings on tight, established urban plots like this one often leave less room for laydown and crane positioning than a greenfield site, which puts a premium on careful sequencing of deliveries, crane movements, and pour cycles so the frame progresses without disrupting neighbouring operations or the main contractor’s wider site logistics.
The Crown Works is one of six schemes Midwest has delivered for Graham Construction, a client relationship that spans residential and commercial work across Liverpool, Manchester, and now Birmingham.
